Glenn with his parents in the early 40’s with lambs on the family farm that we still live on today.  Although our predominate breed now is Southdowns we do have a small flock of Hampshire sheep.

Our farm is a family affair, with our married daughter and family living next door. Our granddaughers and grandsons take an active part showing both breeding and market sheep. The picture at right was taken at the 2001 Texas Southdown Futurity Field Day in August with three of our wethers.

We have had the Champion Southdown at Johnson County, Denton County and Central Texas Fair and Junior Livestock Shows and have had placing wethers at both San Antonio and Houston. We invite you to come look at our southdown/Hampshire sheep, Boer goats and meet our family.

Pictured at right, back row: daughter, Corrie, Janie & Glenn and daughter, Annell Russell; front row: grandsons, Kasey, Tommy and Kolby Russell.

Tommy was the 2002 winner of a ten thousand-dollar scholarship at San Antonio exhibiting the Supreme Champion Ewe and he also won a six thousand-dollar scholarship for winning the 2001 / 2002 San Antonio Livestock Scramble with a Texas Southdown Futurity ewe.

Left is a ram we raised from a Doak ram we purchased and at right is one of his daughters.  Our bloodlines are a mixture of Doak, Howard, Sooner and Real.
